Tank Wall Cutting
Abrasive water cutting doesn’t generate heat or sparks, making it perfect for sites where hazardous atmospheres may be present. Hydrotec’s state-of-the-art equipment is operated remotely, meaning our staff are able to maintain a safe distance from the jetting nozzle.
Applications
Inert grit is combined with high pressure water in order to cut through materials. Some applications where water cutting is the perfect solution include:

Cutting Types
Radial Cutting
The radial cutter is often deployed to make preliminary cuts; whether to provide inspection portals, vents or to create lifting eyes for later in the process. Our cutter is adjustable and fitted with magnetic feet, meaning we’re able to create cuts with a diameter up to 250mm whilst secured to the cutting surface from any angle.
Window Cutting
Our 2.5m track cutter allows us to create openings where a client requires personnel and plant access into a given tank. The unrivalled precision of our cutting equipment has seen it successfully deployed on Grade II listed structures where the Client has required the coupon to be reinstated upon completion of the project.
